Closure of Harts Hill Road
Information has been received from West Berkshire Council of planned works Thames Water have scheduled that will involve the closure of Harts Hill Road (between Floral Way and Broad Lane) for up to 5 months. The closure will be in place from Monday 30th April 2018 until approx. 1st October 2018. This is necessary to allow the safe replacement of the water main pipe as well as the construction of a new water booster station at the bottom of Harts Hill Road. It is hoped that the road can be re-opened temporarily within the 5 months while no works take place.
During the closure all through traffic will be diverted via Broad Lane, The Ridge, Cold Ash Hill, Floral Way and vice versa. Access will be maintained for residents from the most appropriate end of the closure. As there will be a deep excavation in the road it will not be safe to allow emergency vehicles through the closure.
All queries should be directed to Thames Water on 0800 316 9800 (option1) or firstname.lastname@example.org quoting ref BB192434
