Harts Hill Road Closure starting Monday 30th April, 2018 – Update
Further information received today from West Berkshire Council.
Works will begin from the site compound at the top of the hill. The first task will be to install a temporary pipe above ground from the existing pumping station at the bottom of the hill up to Bucklebury in order to maintain a water supply to Bucklebury during the works. Only once this is installed, tested and bought into use can works on the underground water main begin.
With this in mind, as of approx. 10am on Mon 30th April a full road closure will be in place between the northern side of Lincoln View and Broad Lane. Thames Water have undertaken to inform all residents on Hart Hill Road of changes of access to their properties. West Berkshire Council will be updated weekly and any changes likely to affect the travelling public will be updated to roadworks.org and emailed out on Fridays.
The diversion route remains the same – via Broad Lane, The Ridge, Cold Ash Hill, Floral Way and vice versa. However, this route is weight limited so HGVs will need to travel via the A4. The closure will be signed from all surrounding villages to encourage the use of alternative routes where possible.
Further information and contact details can be found at www.roadworks.org which we will endeavour to keep as up to date as possible.
As a reminder – All queries should be directed to Thames Water on 0800 316 9800 (option1) or email@example.com quoting ref BB192434
