Here is a statement from Thatcham Town Mayor, Councillor Mrs. Jenny Weaving, following the very successful Festival in Thatcham:-

“I would like to thank all the participants who have been involved in this year's Thatcham Festival of Arts and Leisure.

This year has been our best Festival yet!  The sun has shone and venues have been well attended, some with capacity audiences!  The variety of activities has been exciting giving the residents of Thatcham and beyond a huge choice of new things to try.  I know that a number of interest groups have recruited new members fulfilling one of the Festival's aims which is to help prosper local organisations and  stimulate community involvement.  The Festival has brought more people into our town to see what we have to offer.

I believe that Thatcham Festival of Arts and Leisure will continue to grow and diversify but we remain in need of the generous support we receive from so many of our community and volunteer groups.  Please help us sustain our place in Berkshire's social calendar.  See you all next year!”
