Mel Taylor
Town Clerk (f/t)
As the Town Clerk, Mel is the Council’s Proper Officer, under provisions of s112 of the Local Government Act 1972, the Town Clerk is required to carry out the statutory duties of a Proper Officer, guiding and assisting the Town Council in fulfilling its legal and financial obligations. The Town Clerk is responsible for the administrative work of Thatcham Town Council; providing support and guidance to Staff and Members of the Council.

Trudy Blackney
Deputy Town Clerk (p/t)
As Deputy Town Clerk, Trudy provides support to the Town Clerk. Trudy also clerks the Planning and Highways Committee and Grants Sub-Committee.

Mike Aslin
Services Manager (f/t)
Health & Safety Manager
As the Services Manager, Mike clerks the Recreation and Amenities Committee, manages projects as agreed by that Committee and ensures that Town Council facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Mike is also the Health and Safety Manager for the Town Council.

John Sackett
Events Manager (f/t)
As the Events Manager John is responsible for organising a varied programme of community and civic events organised by the Town Council, throughout the year.

Steve Tickle
Responsible Financial Officer (p/t)
Under s151 of the Local Government Act 1972 the Town Council is required to appoint a Responsible Financial Officer for the administration of its financial affairs.

Miri Willan
Finance Officer (p/t)
Miri is responsible for maintaining the Town Council’s computerised financial records, monthly payment runs and reconciliations.

Rosie Jardine
Senior Admin Officer (p/t)
Cemetery
As Cemetery Officer Rosie is responsible for overseeing administration of burials and memorials at London Road Cemetery. Rosie also produces the quarterly newsletter and other publicity material as required.

Harry Young
Services Officer (f/t)
As Services Officer, Harry provides support to the Services Manager, assisting with the varied and very busy role of providing safe and effective services and amenities for local residents.

Georgina Curtis-Read
Events & Civic Officer (p/t)
Georgina’s role is to support the Events Manager, in respect of Community events and Civic Functions. Alongside this Georgina also manages the Mayors diary.

Linda Adams
Admin Officer (p/t)
General Support
Linda provides administrative support to assist in the efficient running of the office and ensures agendas are distributed on time and provides support to the Planning & Highways Committee. Linda also co-ordinates Council Surgery and incidents reported to the Town Council.

Dawn Cropper
Admin Officer (f/t)
Services
Dawn looks after bookings and enquiries relating to the following Town Council services: Burdwood Community Centre, Frank Hutchings Community Hall, Henleys Allotments, the weekly Friday Market and stalls on the Broadway Green, as well as Receptionist at the Council Offices.
