Thatcham Town Council Civic Awards 2021

Time to nominate Thatcham’s superstars!

Thatcham Town Council is looking for those amazing people and groups who are doing great things within their community, so that they can be formally recognised with a Civic Award 2021. Nominations are invited from members of the public for the Gold Awards and for a new category this year relating specifically to those individuals and groups who stepped up and helped during the pandemic.

Each year a maximum of three Gold Awards are presented and these can be for those individuals or groups who have either achieved a significant milestone that year or who have done something special for the community in the past 12 months.

The Town Council is also aware that over the past year many individuals and organisations have done some amazing things in response to the Covid pandemic and this is your opportunity to have them publicly acknowledged. They may have made face masks or scrubs, delivered groceries or medications to the vulnerable or just generally stepped up when their neighbours needed them.

Councillor Mike Cole, Mayor of Thatcham, commented: ‘There are some amazing people working behind the scenes in Thatcham’s community and this is the perfect opportunity to give them the recognition that they deserve, so please get nominating now as all nominations will be carefully considered’.
